Kelsey: Real Estate Agent

Name: Kelsey Davis

Age: 29

City: Daphne, Alabama

Side Hustle: Real Estate Agent

How did you get started?: I’ve always had an interest in real estate. I finally decided to pursue my license in 2014, then put it on hold, and then picked back up in 2015 right before I found out I was pregnant with my first son (God has quite the sense of humor, right?). I’ve loved every second of the chaos ever since.

When/where do you work?: Quick background – I’ve worked for a local PR/marketing agency since 2011 and have been incredibly fortunate to receive an insane amount of support, giving me the ability to put my heart into both PR and real estate… but basically I work most hours of the day from one of my offices or my home.

What are the challenges of your Side Hustle?: Not having enough time in the day, especially time for business development and time with family and friends.

What are the rewards of your Side Hustle?: So, so many. Primarily, helping someone make one of the biggest purchases of their life. This will be the place where they make memories and raise their family. I am so humbled each time I get the opportunity to help someone with this major life event.

Who is your greatest supporter?: My husband, for sure. My family and friends are a very close second.

Who/what is your greatest source of inspiration?: My inspiration stems from two main sources:
1. My family.
2. Happy clients.
Knowing that by helping others I can also help my family is a major driver for me.

What is your dream for your Side Hustle?: My overall dream is to do something bigger than I ever thought I could. Each day pushes me to rise to a new challenge. Real estate has pushed me out of my comfort zone and forced me to sharpen every skill I have and then generate some news ones. If the market crashes tomorrow or my phone never rings again, I’ll know this “side hustle” pushed me to improve myself as a person and as a professional… but I hope it keeps ringing!

Do you have any advice for others working on a Side Hustle?:

Do. Not. Stop. When you think you can’t do something, especially out of fear or nerves, that means you should absolutely do it right that second.
